Genesis 3.0, an art notebook (2022)
If you notice how a book is made, you can see the construction of it’s back. how it is created with such rhythm and how it elegantly holds the paper together. sometimes making a book is not about precision. it is about experience of it’s maker while bound the papers.
this is an art-book that consists a work of curated un-used papers from an old 2015 catalogue, left-over papers, 42 year-old novel book papers, hand-painted papers, stickers, washi tapes and blank brown, crème, grey papers for you can write on. hope this art book can inspire you in every way.
This is a notebook with a story. Creating this book has been a very adventurous because each one of these are numbered and each numbered has special theme inside. Everything is curated one by one from it's paper, it's colored paint, washi tapes, and stickers also used fabric.
I adored how the design came together through process of material curation.
The method of stitching that I'm using is "Saddle Stitch". It is a simple binding by creating single line throughout the book.
