The Bubble Set and The Blowout are cosmetic items made for the Pyro in Team Fortress 2. I designed The Bubble Set to match the growing trend of framing the Pyro as a sillier character in terms of cosmetic style.
My major takeaway from these projects: understanding the necessary pipeline order of steps to create a finished cosmetic. Modeling, UV unwrapping, rigging and skinning were the main steps in process and the order in which I did them, respectively. There were a few times where I had to step backwards in the process, finding out that adjusting the base model would require me to skin and UV unwrap the object again due to these adjustments.
A Valve employee commented on The Magic Wand to ask if the bubble wand had a particle effect to go along with it. In response, I created the particle effect animation (see below). However, the wand was ultimately not added to the game.
