My teammates and I faced the biggest challenge in creating this storyboard, mainly because the first version of the story itself cannot seem to work. It was repeatedly rejected and refined until it seemed like a pile of salad plot.

We had to come up with a new second story in just a week or two, let alone rush out an entire board to catch up with the other group's progress in class. Needless to say, it was one hell of a semester.

Despite the tough times, it was at this point that I realised my potential in storyboard planning, flow, and composition. I was able to sharpen my visual narrative skills along the way, and have a keen eye for camera angles and direction-facings.

This project is divided into two sections - one general storyboard that tells the whole setting and the story, and is to be used for other assignment purposes; another storyboard, made solely for the animatic, is a prequel to the former, made in a movie trailer style.

World Setting storyboard drafts for my teammates

A mix of boards for the world lore storytelling that most of it were able to "survive" until the end, mostly because of how the plot changed, and then the board would have to either be altered a few frames here and there, or visualize from scratch again.
