Queen of the Night Scarf

This project is a collaboration with Bânu Magnifique for International Women's Day. This day holds even greater significance in light of the current global issues impacting women. From the women-led revolution in Iran, to the erosion of reproductive rights in the United States and the restriction of education opportunities for women in Afghanistan, it is clear that the fight for gender equality and women's rights is far from over. To commemorate this important day, Bânu Magnifique reach out to make limited edition collection of artwork that reflects the artist's perspective on women in an uplifting and positive manner. The collection is intended to inspire and empower. Scarves are premium quality chiffon made in Canada from 100% recycled water bottles.
Hand painted watercolour illustration.

Scanned and made into a digital pattern. Every pattern has a story. Mine is a poem.

Queen of the Night Scarf

"In the strength of our vulnerability
A spectacular, fragrant show unfolds
In the evening, let emotions flow
Blooming at night while others sleep
For even just one moon, we can exist

Whether we bear fruit or not, it's our right
As others feed off our light
Don't cast any shade, for tonight
I am ready to bloom in all my might."
