What I call a miracle drink is coffee. It’s like a slap in the face but one that doesn’t hurt. So do you want to know about coffee? More than you already know that is.

What Coffee Actually Does to You
I understand you already know that coffee gives you an energy boost and the need for the toilet right after. But did you know that coffee speeds up your metabolism, and that's why you need the toilet more often? That means coffee is useful in weight loss.
Here are positive things that coffee does for you:
-Can reduce the risk of diabetes type 2
-Can support brain health including protecting you from Alzheimers
-Reduces depression
-Supports heart health
-Increases physical performance which is linked to the boost in energy levels
Did you know about these?

Here are the negative things that it can have on you:
-Insomnia, mainly happens when you consume coffee at night time
-Anxiety, happens if you consume too much or if you are sensitive to caffeine.
-Digestive problems, coffee can lead to symptoms like acid reflux, heartburn and diarrhoea.
-Addiction, consuming too much can lead to an addiction if you reduce your consumption.
-Dehydration, coffee can increase urination and dehydration if you don’t consume enough water. I’d also recommend having a glass of water after a coffee so you don’t get a coffee breath.
-Increased heart rate, caffeine can increase your heart rate if you consume too much coffee and it can be fatal if you have heart problems.

The thing with these negatives is they happen if you consume too much so as long as you only consume 2 to 3 cups of coffee per day you’ll be fine. But obviously, be careful with it especially if you have heart and cardiovascular problems.

The Healthiest Type of Coffee
If you want the most out of coffee you will want to drink the healthiest type of coffee. The healthiest type of coffee is the blonde roast. I do not drink this I have your normal everyday coffee which is black coffee and I presume you do too.
So here are ways to make your coffee the healthiest it can be:
-Choose high-quality coffee beans. Look for beans that are organically grown without any chemicals or pesticides.
-Opt for black coffee. Adding things like sugar and creams will add extra calories to your coffee making it not as healthy but you still can put milk in. I cannot have a coffee without milk.
-Avoid flavoured coffee. Flavoured coffee can sometimes come with artificial flavours and sweeteners which can be unhealthy.
-Use filtered water. Using filtered water will remove the bad chemicals that are normally in tap water and it will also make it taste nicer.
-Limit your intake. I’ve said this before and I will say it again, drink 2 to 3 cups of coffee per day. Any more and it can become bad for you and then it will be worse than a slap in the face. Hopefully, you remembered that from earlier.

Questions and Answers
Here are some popular questions asked about coffee which I will answer:
-How much caffeine is in coffee? Normally it’s 70 to 140 milligrams of caffeine but sometimes it can be more or less.
-Do light-roasted and dark-roasted coffee have different levels of caffeine? The difference is minimal and it will not cause a noticeable effect.
-Does coffee have more caffeine than tea? Yes, tea only has 15 to 60 milligrams of caffeine whilst coffee has between 70 and 140 milligrams.
-How many cups of coffee can you drink a day? This is the third time now, you should only drink between 2 to 3 cups of coffee per day.
-Can you drink coffee whilst pregnant? I don’t know I’ve never been pregnant, I’m a male. Joking. You can drink one cup of coffee a day but I would stay away from it completely as it can lead to an increased chance of a miscarriage. P.S. when I said joking I didn’t mean I’m actually pregnant.
