First design concept for a overlook pavilion. Moving into the additional career path of architecture, this seemed like a fun design project. Structurally, I want to change some aspects, most notably the rafter to supporting beam joint. It would be best to lay those on top of the beam as a monent joint as well as adding a beam at the back end of the structure spanning the two back columns. Since it is early in my architectural coursework at MSU, I have still not been involved in any structures courses, but I wanted to get this idea out onto paper.
