The N.C. Voter I.D. Law

As a graphic designer, I enjoy educating my audience on social, political, and cultural issues in ways where I don’t hand them the answer but provoke them to create their own opinion. I chose politics and the ongoing issue of The N.C. Voter I.D. Law as my community because it ‘s often that U.S. citizens are unaware of hidden details of laws that are passed. Every eligible citizen has the chance to shape our government and be a part of the failures or success of America.
The North Carolina Voter I.D. Law was enacted in August 2013 right after The Supreme Court struck down section 4 of The Voting Rights Act of 1965.  Section 4 provided pre- clearance for certain states that had a tendency of discriminatory voting laws. The N.C. Voter I.D. Law cuts down early voting from 17 to 10 days, cuts out same day registration, and ends pre-registration for 16 and 17 year olds.  This law is said to help prevent voter fraud while adding in more secret money from big corporations and increased contribution allowances for politicians.
I provided facts and information that the mainstream media chooses to over-look, politicians choose to leave out, and historical evidence of how this law could be considered retrogression.
