Little Talks is a series of self portraits that all depict myself in moments of vulnerability. All of the quotes have been said to me with the exception of three that were my response to others in these times of frustration. These quotes all have to do with comments or questions about my gender, sex life, and racial background.
I bound my series in two different ways with my cheap and disposable xerox copies being the ones that I pass out in the streets of Baltimore and the accordion bound laser print copy that I kept for myself. The xerox copies were handed out to find out the general public's response to my work. The responses were then photographed and presented with the whole body of work with a few select quotes that I got from them.
