Where Are The Black Designers?

Where are the Black Designers? Where are the Black Illustrators, Black Graphic Designers, and Black Creative Writers? This question exists for many reasons. We need to make space for the entire spectrum of Black creatives while also decolonizing design through education and creating awareness of these issues. According to the 2019 AIGA Design Census, 3% of designers are Black. How can a campaign create more awareness and hopefully jobs for other Black Designers? For so long we have created our own tables because there has been a false narrative that Black Designers are not needed. “What is missing in the design profession as a result of so little input from the largest of all American minority groups?” - Cheryl D. Lack of Diversity = Lack of Creativity

How can we change that?
