INDIA in RALPH LAUREN's world
It has always fascinated me that how the maximalism that exists in Indian clothing is being toned down through western influence. Here I'm studying the international fashion house Ralph Lauren and adapting the brand's clean and chic design language in Indian context of fabrics and jewelry.

My ideation started with the vision of evening wear and beauty of night lights. How something that is calm yet enticing enough that one's eye cannot miss. Seeing visuals from vintage India and the glass lamps, the ideation started to take shape.
Further skimming down the theme, my thoughts came to the adaption of Indian textiles and weaves that ornament our wardrobes. Our surroundings are lit up with carved windows and lamps, reflecting the warmth on India's heritage.
Looking forward to my collection, the idea was to juxtapose India's royalty with Ralph Lauren's quiet luxury. My mood board depicts Indian interiors with men's jewelry; seen with drapes and inclusive environment.
