My Digital Footprint
Artist Statement and Ideation
For this digital footprint project, I went with a fairly basic theme of displaying my thoughts and how they are often related to the digital world, and even when they aren't, I still wanted to express myself in that kind of technology-like manner. My idea was to make it fairly "intense" with the text effects and music to kind of mimic how large my digital footprint is while keeping the thought videos fairly simple and easy to look at without being distracted.
Another way I feel this project represents me well is that I do think a lot visually, meaning most of my thoughts have "images" or "videos" attached to them. Overall, I would say it came out much better than my first project and I am pretty happy with it. I will say though that my original idea was to have myself as a continuous video playing with everything else, but after trying that and thinking about it, I didn't feel very comfortable with it and did think it was too much. I think this turned out well, though, but that may be something for me to try in the future.
