STUCK IN LIMINALITY
Quite often, we find ourselves in liminal spaces, both physical and emotional, realising their eeriness only when we spend some time there. Liminal space is the transitional space between two defined spaces or destinations. This graphic novel deals with the concept of emotional liminality which we tend to fall into without warning and any control of our own. The difficulty of being in this state is its inexplicable nature; it can be understood only when experienced.
This scrollable graphic novel aims to simulate the emotional experience of being in a liminal space. Capturing the duality of emotions, confusion, and the feeling of wariness of being stuck in between.

CONCEPT
To depict the narrative of emotional liminal space, in simpler terms defined as the transitional phase of one's life. Being in liminality and constantly experiencing uncertainty around is a weird feeling which is not easy to put into words. A person who is not able to relate to their past self and too afraid to step into their next version is just stuck in between for uncertain period of time is an example of emotional liminality.
VISUAL LANGUAGE & CHARACTER DESIGN
The overall visual language has been kept simple with the colour palette consisting of only four colours. Contrasting bright colours are used in this project to make it engrossing.

The graphic novel consists of six frames of animated GIFs and illustrations.
