Experimental Typography Project: Movie Poster for Edward Scissorhands (1990)
Aim of the project was to design a movie poster using only typography. I wanted to express the idea and the feeling of the movie Edward Scissorhands (1990) by incorporating the poem There Was an Old Man From the Cape by Robert Louis Stevenson, which was read in the movie by the scientist who created the main character, Edward. I considered this scene important for Edward's character development and used it as the primary element of my project. I experimented with the shadows of paper and played with light and color.
