These are gallery-quality giclée art prints on 100% cotton rag archival paper, printed with archival inks. Each art print features a minimum one-inch border. I still have a handful of original screenprints if your interested send me a message.
I created these prints as part of my Thesis work for my MFA at MICA. Each screen print is a vibrant representation of my journey through the park. You can learn more about the Parks Project here.
Process for the Delciate Arch Poster. It took a while to get the separations down to only two layers that still hold this amount of detail.
Abyss Pool. I used a base layer of gray to allow me to add in a wider range of depth to both of the yellow and blue that I used while making this print.
Mesa Arch in Canyonlands National Park. The top layer on this print is a blend of a vibrant orange and a much more transparent yellow. This changes how much of the blue base layer shows through adding a nice detail to the print.
The transition in the sky from a blue to yellow was particularly difficult to achieve with the limited color pallette.
I was really happy with all the detail in the trees and leaves that I was able to achieve with three colors.
It took a lot of balancing to find the right yellow and blue for this print. I wanted a more nuetral yellow that would mix to create a nice green for the trees.
