Custom Typeface - Catigan (derived from Cattigan)
This font was created for a project for my Typography class. The objective was to design our own typeface for
a modern English alphabet, with 26 letters, by tracing and altering an existing one.
Original Font 'Cattigan':
I began the design process by taking screenshots of the original font, and then taking them into Illustrator to image trace them. I then manipulated the letters to have cat-like characteristics, like a tail and/or whiskers.
Custom Font 'Catigan':
We then took our completed font and laid out mini zines to showcase the characters. I continued my playful catty vibe from the font and put it into my designs.
