Coffe cups design for a 5togo local contest in Romania.
I represented the 60's by using psychedelic pattern with bright colors, curvilinear shapes, hand drawn typography with an insertion of art nouveau inspired elements. I also created an illustration of a hippie girl to represent the "hippie era" and the flower power movement.
To represent the 70's I got inspired from the disco culture to create a disco ball and ring with people dancing. I also used the vinyl disc, outline text effects and freeform typography.
For the 80's I used the tropical design style with palm trees and colorful sunset with neon lights. I also inserted an illustration of a girl with a pilates/yoga/workout outfit and a radio on the shoulder.
To represent the 90's I used memphis style to create a pattern and I also used an illustration of a man with a radio on the shoulder. I used bold geometric shapes, line work and asymmetry. To better represent the 90's I inserted a tape too.
To represent the 2000s I used what I like to call an "emo enspired pattern" and an illustration of a girl listening to an mp3 player dressed with baggy pants and a crop top.
