This experiment with letters was born due to two components.
The first reason is that I needed to design a logo for a youth festival. And I wanted to use a custom fancy font for that. Which would reflect the courage and innovation of young people and their desire for experiments. And to be a reference to the main components of the festival - electronic music and street art. Regardless, I wanted the font to be readable. Also, the plasticity of the letters had to be combined with the name of the festival "Elevator".
The second reason. The 36daysoftype challenge has been running for 10 years in a row. It is joined by designers, artists, illustrators, architects, photographers and other people who are interested in experimenting with letters. Age, country of residence and type of activity are not important. All these people, for 36 days, share on Instagram their versions of the letters of the Latin alphabet and numbers from zero to nine. This is a big unstoppable creative wave covering the whole world. And once again I joined her.
