Charli3 Holiday Dgtl Launch
While working at Charlie Holiday, I helped launch Charli3 Holiday DGTL, an initiative to explore innovative concepts and ideas such as web3 and the digital world.

For our launch, we created a physical capsule collection called Nova / Series 1 which was inspired by a company-owned NFT from the World of Women project.

To stay within the theme of digital, we created 3D models of all of the garments to use for our eCommerce ghosting and for short animations. I was in charge of making sure the over 20 assets were created in 3D, which had to be perfectly realistic as they would be representing our physical product.
These meticulously crafted 3D models not only enhanced our eCommerce experience by providing visually stunning ghosting effects but also lent themselves to captivating short animations that brought our collection to life in an immersive and dynamic manner.

This was also my first time using the software MD, it showed my ability to translate my 3D experience and knowledge to a unfamiliar software.

Through my contributions to this ambitious endeavor, I not only pushed the boundaries of traditional fashion but also showcased my proficiency in leveraging cutting-edge technologies to create seamless digital experiences that resonated with our target audience.
To maintain a cohesive theme throughout our launch, we harnessed the power of 3D modeling to bring our garments to life in the virtual space. As the key overseer of this process, I took charge of ensuring that our 3D assets were flawlessly crafted, with a remarkable level of realism, as they served as the digital representation of our tangible products.

Majority of the 3D assets I hand crafted myself by measuring the physical item and using CLO3D / Marvelous Designer to create 3D digital twin. A few of the items I outsourced to oversea artists which I found and managed myself, holding them to a high quality. When I received the 3D items for the oversea artists I had to polish and edit them to make sure it met a higher standard, but it proved efficient to allow them to take some of the workload while I polished up their work.
In this project, we introduced our own digital avatar for Charli3 Holiday DGTL. To optimize time and resources, I hired a skilled freelance character artist who created the avatar based on my instructions. Using the avatar, I designed shoes and employed the Mixamo toolkit to craft a catwalk-style animation for the Nova collection.

Working closely with our video editor and creative team, I seamlessly merged the virtual and physical worlds, showcasing Nova on the runway and transitioning to a real model wearing the physical garments. I utilized cloth simulation for realistic movement and delivered the final animations in the desired format, highlighting my expertise in character animation and collaborative work. The animations were a testament to our team's commitment to creating visually stunning content that bridged the gap between digital and physical realms.
