Sean Connery was a Scottish actor who is best known for his role as James Bond in the early 007 movies. He was born in Edinburgh in 1930 and started his acting career in the 1950s.

Aside from his role as James Bond, Connery starred in many other iconic movies such as "The Hunt for Red October", "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade", and "The Untouchables". He won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in "The Untouchables" in 1988.

Connery was also a philanthropist and supported many charitable causes. He was knighted by Queen Elizabeth II in 2000 for his services to the arts.

Sadly, Sean Connery passed away in October 2020 at the age of 90. He left behind a legacy as one of the greatest actors of his generation and an enduring icon of cinema.
