In my book binding class, I designed, illustrated, and bound an accordion book with illustrations of Mexico City, where I am from. I used imagery from my own memories of leaving the place every time I go. I designed it so that the middle spot is the eagle of the Mexican flag, which also happens to be a statue at a lake in Parque Tezozomoc, a park in the region of the city that I always visit. The outer front and back covers are green and red, so that when the accordion book is flipped open and interacted with, you are also opening the Mexican flag.
