There's a myth saying: "The two people connected by the red thread are destined lovers, regardless of place, time, or circumstances. This magical cord may stretch or tangle, but never break."

Do you believe that everyone has a thread connected to someone else? Is it true that people are destined for each other?

If so, why do some people end up alone?

Most of us have experienced unrequited love. It's like having a heartbreak without even putting it into pieces yet. A movie trailer that already ends in tragedy or an unopened book that starts with the end.

They have a Hanahaki disease. It is a fictional sickness that only occurs when someone is suffering from unrequited love. The victim will cough up flower petals that symbolize their love. This disease can only be cured when the victim's feelings are romantically returned.

Well, it's better if it ended soon because it'll be harder if the feelings stayed longer.

How if someone's string is not connected to anyone? Will that person will endlessly grow weeds and flowers inside their chest until they stop loving?

The apps I usually use are Pain Tool Sai ver2 and Adobe Photoshop 2021. I also use Wacom Intuos to draw them.
This is my first time drawing in this style. I experiment with freehand line art and semi-realistic style for coloring. I usually struggle in drawing hands like most of us so I gathered many references and take photos of my hand to finish this.

The initial sketch includes more plasters and leaves but it looks like the elements are all around. So I decide to put only one plant to represent hanahaki and balance it with the red string element.
