St Aloysius Chapel - Mangalore (Aug 2015)

shoot for window magazine, the first coastal lifestyle magazine based in Karnataka, India.

the magazine never got to see the light of day , but thankfully some of my photos were featured in National Geographic magazine India thanks to Ruth Prabhu and Saina Jaipal for making this possible. (2021 edition)

clicked on a rainy day aug 9, 2015 using the 11-24 lens and canon 1DX

the grainy pics is due to the very low light inside the chapel, so i had to use an iso of 3200 for some images

all clicked handheld.

The St. Aloysius Chapel in Mangalore was built by Jesuit Missionaries in 1880 and its interiors painted by the Italian Jesuit Antonio Moscheni in 1899, during the Mangalore Mission in 1878. The Italian Jesuits played an important role in education, health, and social welfare of the Mangalorean Catholic community and built the St. Aloysius College in 1880, St Aloysius Chapel in 1884, and many other institutions and churches. - wiki
