Fujiyama No Senshi
Hello there! I took part in XI edition of art contest from Zainspirowani Japonią (https://zainspirowanijaponia.pl/) which has been around for 12 years now. Their goal is to promote Japanese culture and art in the creative environment. The task of the competition was (and is) to create graphics that to a greater or lesser extent refer to or are inspired by Japan, its culture, art and history. So i decided to give it a try.
I went with iconic Torii gate, Japanese blade - Katana with Tokyo city painted on the its blade, sakura flowers, traditional lantern with a cat of course, anime character wearing high tech mecha headpiece and wearing mountain Fuji inspired clothing.
Fujiyama No Senshi - Sonia Shinn Paszenda (I use couple of aliases for my works, for this one, was my usual one, SX)
And here is my primary sketch for this piece. I wanted so bad to add the cherry blossom keychain on the handle but in the end it didn't pass the colouring check... (Ｔ▽Ｔ)
Sadly, I didn't won any prize, BUT I was extremely satisfied of my work at the time so now I post it here as a memento of my first online (not for school) art contest, also you can still view my entry on the organizers web page!
