Firstness is a site specific Installation Art piece that was installed in the Denison University Museum for the Senior Studio Art Group Show. The show was a juried show and in order to create the piece I had to create a written proposal and a sketch-up model. The piece was designed to control the viewer physically and psychologically. The piece was supposed to be ambiguous and intended to replicate a tomb or spiritual space while at the same time creating a sense of panic.
I designed, constructed, wired, and installed the piece with very little outside help. The piece was built with 2x3's, foam insulation board, and many coats of paint.
