Art 235 | Project 03 - PSA Campaign

Mental Health Illness is now becoming more common, not only to adult but also to young people. It's a sad truth that our young generations experience this illness and sometimes leads to sever emotional breakdown and worse even death. As an adult, a sister and a concern citizen, showing these young people that there are people who cares for them, different organizations and support groups they can count will be a great help. Therefore, for this project I chose to create a campaign poster on youth mental health awareness as my final project in ART235. I chose National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) as the support organization for this project. To start this project, I complied with our poster requirements which are: the poster must be 11 x 17 in size, compose of 3 series of posters that should be distinct yet similar to each other. The posters also include ADcouncil logo, headline, tagline, call of action and also the chosen organization's logo and url.  

The purpose of this first concept is to show the youth who experience mental illness that they are not alone, that someone from their family, friends and people around them that they care and that someone knows and feels what they feel. And that we see the greatest potential in them.

Many young generations who struggle in this illness thought that no one is interested to listen to them, some even feel that they are not allowed to express their feelings, this concept is to motivate and inspire this youth to reach out, to open up and to speak up about how they feel. They do not need to struggle alone in silence.

Common feelings of people who struggles in mental health is that they feel hopeless, they sometimes feel that no one cares for them, and no one loves them, so this third concept is to show our youth and even everyone who have these feelings that they are loved, they are cared for, they are important and that they are matter!
