Lino Print
When people are speaking about the environment and the sea shore, I started doodling and I came up with this image. A depiction of Sea, Sand, and Plastic. I used what I had in my bag, fineliners and posca pens. It worked because it looks a bit toxic - that is the whole idea. This drawing was the inspiration for my lino cut.

Figure 1.
I drew this sketch to give me a quick impression of what I might carve into the lino. I played with the idea of adding some bricks to the image so that I can call it "Sea, Sand, Plastic and Developers". But, as I did lino, aesthetically, it looked better without the bricks. So, I just made a lino copy of Figure 1.

Figure 2
I finished cutting the lino. It doesn't look as toxic because it hasn't got any colour. However, aesthetically it looks nice just as a cut. I can't wait to see what happens when I print it, which will probably be in black. Or if I print another one, black or green.

These are the tools I used to cut the lino. I didn't do any sketching on the lino. In some ways, you could call it automatic cutting.
