I’m recently finding a universe in words, hence the popular phrase ‘WORDS HAVE POWER’. Transparency, is a word that I have encountered many times in my life and always understood that it means to see through some object. If you want to explain it in a different reality, it means to see through an action or intention, mostly related to human behaviors. So every time, you can find a different level and correlated meaning to the word.

We are saturated with images everywhere; and with immediate access information that the internet and artificial intelligence offers, we are losing the sense of imagination and with that the will to create. In a way, there is a lack of understanding that common objects can also produce effects, shapes and sensations, in order that if we maintain our inventiveness and passion alive, we can enjoy the access of traveling to a magnificent world that will never stop teaching and astonish us... OUR IMAGINATION.

THE PROPOSAL

Design is my path in life; that is, I relate to every important concept I encounter as a Design concept. I relate to Transparency as a form of Minimalism, in which one needs to see in the first instance what an object or concept is, then encounter one's self in every instance with that same and very profound essence that is minimalism.

I decided to make a piece of art that had minimalistic characteristics; but that has the power to transport you, inspire you or re-connect you with your inner processes to simple and calmed ones. Like a meditative state, where you can contemplate the space around you and whatever the art piece reflect or projects of the subconscious.

How to manifest transparency?

I try to be very intuitive of how to explain an idea and start building from that. For me, the best visual object or natural agent to explain transparency are this two: Glass and light. In that understanding, I wanted that my piece had both; but not as cold elements, but more as an example of interactive media that could maximize their original use. I conceptualized thinking of how the light could be fragmented but not separated... Expanded. It also needed to have movement so the light could make effects and give the ignition for our imagination to fly.
