PocketPlay
PocketPlay is a game controller designed for iPhone mobile gamers. Its folding and rotating features allow it to have an extremely compact size when not in use, making it easy for players to carry it anywhere. Charging and fixation are achieved through the use of MagSafe, enabling players to charge both the game controller and the phone simultaneously while playing.

Design process
I explore various forms, folding methods, and design directions rapidly through hand-drawn sketches on paper and digital 2D drawings. Throughout the process, I develop multiple design directions and gradually narrow down the selection to find suitable design solutions.
Using clay and off-the-shelf game controllers, I engage in the process of crafting rough prototypes. These models serve as a means to test and explore a wide array of gripping sensations and innovative design possibilities. Through this iterative approach, I aim to refine the ergonomics and aesthetics, ensuring the final product meets the demands and preferences of the users.
By utilizing 3D modeling and rendering software, I delve into the exploration of different shapes and designs. Through this process, I can visualize and manipulate objects in a 3D space, allowing me to examine various angles, dimensions, and intricate details. This powerful tool enables me to experiment with different materials, textures, and lighting effects, bringing my ideas to life virtually before actual fabrication or implementation. The 3D modeling and rendering process provides me with valuable insights, allowing me to refine and iterate upon my concepts until I achieve the desired outcome.
