Information
This track comes from the 2003 Ubisoft videogame "XIII: Your Number Is Up", based on the homonymous Dargaud comic series. In retail, the music miss a lot of content heard in this version (which takes discarded parts of the song from an old PS2 (PlayStation 2) prototype.
The audio you're problably listening is like an attempt (more like a practise) to remaster a compressed file, plus re-connect different pieces of audio (the game uses dinamic music system, so it isn't just a full theme, it is divided by a lot of segments). It is unknown how does the old prototype mix would sound like, so I tried to make it sound "good" with a context of the game, the level start normal, but then you start remembering things (since the player is amnesiac) and you starts tying up loose ends and then...well, "your number is up".

Summary
So, at the end I did the following in practice (in Adobe Audition)
* "Enhance" a compressed file to sound more "fresh"
* Mix a lot of segments to "redo" what the full theme would sound like.

Fair use is a use permitted by copyright statute that might otherwise be infringing. Non-profit, educational or personal use tips the balance in favour of fair use. IN THIS CASE IS A RESEARCH BY LOOKING FOR OLD COMPOSITIONS OF CERTAIN LEVELS OF THE GAME, ENHANCE THEM, RE-MIXING THEM AS PRACTICE (EDUCATIONAL)
I DID NOT COMPOSED THIS SOUNDTRACK, I DO NOT OWN ANYTHING ABOUT "XIII" AS LICENSE.
