The main reason I was in New Orleans for NBA All Star weekend this year was to cover the Stephen Curry event that was being ran by Under Armour and Finish Line in the Oakwood Mall. Throughout the week leading up to the event on Friday, there was a free throw contest that was being held to see who would have a chance to participate in a shootaround with Stephen Curry himself. Anti and I arrived at the mall a few hours early to get set up and to get laced up with all of the great product UA laced us with including Steph’s shoe of choice, the Under Armour Anatomix Spawn and some great moisture wicking shirts which worked out since they are the only types of shirts I wear to shows in case it’s super hot and I anticipate sweating a ton since I move around so much. At around 5pm Stephen Curry arrived and the hundreds of kids anxiously waiting to see the young shoot star went absolutely insane. Before the shootaround Steph took some time out to sign some autographs as well as a short Q&A where he went over his influences and what he loves so much about the Spawns and how he felt they have helped him improve as a player.
