6 minors apprehended in Tamil Nadu’s Tirunelveli for attacking Dalit boy, sister with sickles.
The #TamilNadu Police apprehended six minor boys on Friday for allegedly attacking a 17-year-old Dalit #student with sickles after he complained to his #school management against three of the boys alleging harassment. The victim’s sister also sustained injuries in the attack, officers said.
A 60-year-old relative of the victims, who was among those holding a protest demanding police action against the suspects who belong to a dominant community, collapsed and died. The siblings were admitted to #Tirunelveli Medical College Hospital for treatment for cut injuries.
