Typographic Poster

In the typography course, there was a task to create a poster about one of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals of United Nations. Metaphors and ideas had to be designed with the help of typography and layout, avoiding the use of images. The choice of fonts was unlimited, but no more than two fonts could be used, and the design should not exceed three colors.
My task was to depict Goal 12: Sustainable Production and Consumption. Firstly, I used ideas related to sustainable production methods (such as eco-friendly energy, recycling, etc.) and added pictograms and images to my work. However, after in-depth research on this topic, I came to the idea to image the reduce of food waste and overproduction. As a result, I decided to design following metaphors: I positioned the text along an oval shape, which simultaneously symbolizes a loaf of bread and cycles of nature. The texture of the oval resembles mold and inorganic earth and moon structures.
