I shot this back in 2013, when the A/W beauty trend was "Matte Radiant" skin. I have always been fascinated with geometric shapes, bold brows, and pop colors. I was inspired by Japanese geisha with my twist of dark romanticism. I added a flare of "Emerald Lust" to the eye lid in honor of the 2013 color of the year by Pantone. I worked with exposures, film grain, and saturation to give the image a very dark, pale, vintage feel. The end result; a beautiful sharp image of seduction, power, immortality, and morbid love.
