These covers were created digitally through Adobe Illustrator for a book series project. I wanted to keep the book style close to what I would want on the cover of a Jane Austen novel, so I chose a simplistic gold-leaf style that would evoke a sense of romanticism. When researching more about Jane Austen and the meaningful plots of her books, I wanted to find a color scheme that fit the rich muted palette of the time periods, which led me to the purple, green, and blue tones. I also fashioned the spines of the book to encompass the titles in a gold frame to fit the romantic feeling of the novels.
