Museum Of Anthropology - Branding & Marketing

Objective:
The task of this project was to create a campaign to promote a Canadian cultural institution. The starting point is to create a new visual identity; the new identity needed to be appropriate (feels right for the institution), distinctive (is unique & memorable), and simple (reproduces well in various formats and sizes). After that, the new identity will be used to create the following elements: transit shelter poster, exterior banners, tickets & merchandise.

Solution:
The cultural institution chosen for this project is the Museum Of Anthropology. The new identity is based on the museum’s initials, but in a geometrical shape to give it a modern look. The identity has no primary colour; the colour is mostly sampled from the elements within the ad to go well with it. Three different posters, banners, billboards were created for three separate exhibitions; the identity colour is sampled from the photography. Two different typefaces are used for the posters/banners/tickets, which are Din and Open Sans.
