Pandora and Bandpage decided to partner up and create a concert calendar which would live on Pandora’s desktop and mobile site. The calendar is populated with live show content from the BandPage database. The concerts are surfaced based on the current station or the user’s overall music preferences on Pandora. This benefits Bandpage by directing users to artists on the BandPage platform, and benefits Pandora because it allows them to provide a distilled concert listing for users based on their preferences.
One of the challenges was integrating the BandPage brand in a way that would cooperate and integrate with the Pandora brand. Bandpage was using a specific blue that worked analogously with Pandora blue given the particular treatment used in the designs. The concert modules also emulate Pandora’s song modules in the music discovery experience primary to their product.
