THE LAG FEST CONCEPT
Scope of Work:
Visual Branding, Illustrations, Graphic Design,
I designed the brand identity for an Afrobeat music festival taking place in Lagos, Nigeria. The branding concept centers around the project's universality, catering to visitors of all ages. I aimed to encapsulate the spirit of Lagos by incorporating its distinctive assets and colors. The haphazard and unordered arrangement of these elements effectively mirrors the city's dynamic character.
Logo Rationale:

The Lag Fest is an enjoyable festival suitable for people of all age groups. Prior to designing this brand, extensive research was conducted to gain insights into the essence of the city. Lagos, being a coastal city with beautiful beaches and sunny weather, served as the inspiration for the visual elements. This exploration ultimately led to the incorporation of the sun and wave symbols into the logo. These symbols symbolise The Lag Fest's fundamental values, which include fun, fluidity, and dynamism.
Choice of Colour:

Lagos State has its unique emblem colors consisting of red, blue, green, and yellow. I endeavored to incorporate these colors into the brand design to imbue the entire branding with a deeper significance. I meticulously adjusted the shades and saturation of these colors to align them with the concept I aimed to convey.
