These illustrations served as the concept art and background images for the song 'In is Room Here' - performed by Willy Wonka - in a theater production of the same name in Vienna, Virginia in April of 2014. All the rooms mentioned in the song are sketched and rendered in Photoshop. The aim was to illustrate each setting mentioned in the song. For example, an island made out of ice cream and hot fudge is described in the song.
In this room here are the 'Luminous Lollies' for eating in bed at night.
*Inspired by lighthouses along the bay, these humongous lollipops are simply one of a child's wildest dreams in a field of bubblegum green fields of grass.
And in that room there the 'Exploding Sweets' for when enemies start a fight!
*The Big Bang was the first idea I had at the thought of exploding candy. It was quite useful.
In this room here is the 'Rock Candy Mine' ; they say that it's three miles deep.
*This mine is entirely made of candy. Instead of precious jewels, you'll get ornate crystals made out of sugar. Not bad.

And in that room there are the 'Marshmallow Pillows' to munch when you just can't sleep.
*Marshmallows stacked on top of each other which resembles pillars in a canyon.
In this room here are the 'Chocolate Cows' from which we get chocolate milk.
*I made this illustration look like the cows you can find in Milk Carton boxes. (Cartoon-like)
And in that room there are the 'Hot Ice Cream' for a cold day as smooth as silk!
