Studies: Marshmallow & Binding
Binding marshmallow by toothpicks:
In this experiment, I explored the process of binding marshmallow pieces
using wooden toothpicks. The method involved delicately piercing and
connecting marshmallows using toothpicks. Once the basic structure was
established, I constructed it into a tower-like form. Surprisingly, as I inserted
numerous toothpicks, the marshmallow began to take on unique patterns.
When the tower was tall enough, I placed it in the microwave for a few
seconds, allowing some of the marshmallow to partially melt. I then used
toothpicks to stretch and manipulate the softened marshmallow, resulting in
intriguing patterns reminiscent of a textured, torn plastic bag.
