Studies: Bubble wrap & Scan
In this experiment, I began by cutting sections of bubble wrap and scanning
them to capture the unique texture of the bubbles. While scanning, I saw
that some parts of the bubble wrap were intact while others had popped,
creating an intriguing contrast. To increase this effect, I folded the bubble
wrap 2-3 times, creating the lines and patterns within the texture.
Taking it a step further, I put colored papers behind the bubble wrap and
scanned it once again. This scan version slightly blurred images of the
colored paper, which I then imported into Photoshop for further
experimentation. Through various effects and adjustments in Photoshop, I
discovered that some of these images developed unexpected textures,
adding an exciting dimension to the project.
