The University of Maryland College Park (UMD) Office of Extended Studies (OES) administers and coordinates courses and provides services for students who attend UMD during the summer and winter sessions, including pre-college, undergraduate, and graduate programs, as well as professional programs. Two of these programs are the Young Scholars Program and Young Scholars Discovery.

 

- The Young Scholars Program (YSP) allows high school students to earn college credit and explore career opportunities while living at UMD for three weeks and experiencing campus life.

 

- The Young Scholars Discovery program (Discovery) allows middle school students to explore different academic areas and interests, including a trip to Washington, DC.

 

I write a variety of outreach materials for YSP and Discovery, including print and online advertising as well as e-blasts and website content. All materials seek to build awareness of and increase enrollment in the programs, each of which has unique target audiences.
