CAFÉ NATSU, Joo Chiat (Interiors)

Named "Summer" in Japanese, this welcoming oasis is located at the heart of Singapore's historic Joo Chiat area. The venue is adorned with details that invite you in, yet maintaining a grounded charm through a diverse array of natural and organic elements. Initially conceived as a fusion of Japanese and European brunch culture, its design was thoughtfully curated to marry the aesthetics of both worlds, presenting serene hues, minimalist elegance, and a blend of materials that pay homage to these diverse influences.

On its walls are striated surfaces reminiscent of the sands found in Japanese Zen gardens, where terracotta hues mingle with the enchanting green of the forest. The exterior, adorned with pristine white finger tiles, offers a nod to the urban landscapes of Japan. Furthermore, the carved out features on the ceiling and walls derive their inspiration from the graceful meandering of water, adding an ethereal touch to the space.
