Forest Hallway Mural

Description
This mural was created in the hallway of a church's children's ministry area. It is the first of 9 - 10 wall murals. Each wing of the children's ministry area will have their walls painted similarly, with each wing featuring a different season. This is both the most prominent wall in the area, and the first "summer" wall. The children's minister desired this to be a title wall of the area, introducing the children's ministry area, hence the name, "FBC KIDS" and the slogan sprawled across the painting. The children's minister and I brainstormed many different ways to both incorporate the church font, and ensure legibility of the words against the busy background. Then I sketched out a rough look of the background. Next, I used a projector to accurately transfer the words onto the wall, and added two verses that had been chosen. Then, I freehanded the forest scene around the text. Once everything had been sketched out, I painting in the text, and then the forest scene around the words. This was done with a combination of wall paint and acrylic paint.
