Shio's London Diary
This is a series of illustrative diaries by Shio, an illustrator who moved to London in May 2023 from Tokyo
After a long flight, I finally made it to London. I had never visited London before, so everything I saw was fresh and full of surprises. I was super excited for my new life in London.
However, after a while, as I was getting used to the city, I started missing my home. Surprisingly, I found some similarities between London and Tokyo, although they are mostly very different.
This piece reflects my mixed emotions; one part of me is still missing home, while the other part of me has started to like my new life in London.
This diary shows why I moved to London. I've always liked taking on new challenges, even though they scare me at the beginning. I was a little bit nervous about sharing my personal diary, but I've found that there are many people who share the same feelings as me since this diary received many reactions on Instagram.
These diaries document findings from my daily life.
