THE MEMORY BOOK
I am excited to start working on a project that is near and dear to my heart as a university student taking a photography course. I have made the decision to go into my most treasured childhood memories for this assignment. I want to evoke the sights, sounds, and feelings that shaped my early existence while capturing the spirit of those formative years through the lens of my camera. I am delighted to share my personal journey with my classmates and professor and give them a view into the world that created me as part of this project, which is more than just a collection of images. It is about conveying a story via pictures.
THE HOUSE, LOCATION
In the center of Ain Leuh village, a heartwarming sight unfolds as a happy family, along with many brothers and sisters, comes together. They have big smiles that brighten up the countryside, showing the strong connections and togetherness that make life in this lovely Moroccan village special. In the background, you can see traditional buildings and beautiful countryside, making this picture a snapshot of happiness and closeness, highlighting the wonderful life in Ain Leuh's rural community.
SIBLINGS, RELATIVES
My family is scattered across different paths, each pursuing their own dreams and ambitions. Hanane, my older sister, and Rafik, my brother, embarked on an exciting journey to the United States for their college education, filled with aspirations and opportunities. Meryem, on the other hand, dedicated herself to nursing studies. Meanwhile, Nora chose a different course, taking to the skies as a flight attendant at a school based in Tangier, to navigate the world with grace and poise. As for Yassmine, Anouar, Amir, and myself, we all decided to attend Al Akhawayn University in Ifrane, sharing the same educational path. Despite the distances that separate us, our individual pursuits serve as a testament to our diverse talents and dreams within the family.
PICNIC
One of the activities I used to do with my parents and siblings is going for a picnic. The picture of the picnic still reminds me of the bright smiles on our faces which radiate pure joy and excitement, mirroring the carefree spirit of childhood. Surrounded by nature's beauty, with lush greenery and a clear blue sky as the backdrop, this heartwarming snapshot captures the essence of a perfect family day outdoors, filled with laughter, delicious food, and cherished memories.
DRESSING PARTY
In this cute picture, my sisters and I decided to throw a dress-up party. We were all dressed in funny costumes like princesses, and we laughed and had a great time. Our garden was filled with colorful stuff. Also, we put on some shiny jewelry and had fun pretending to be different characters. It was a sweet moment that shows how much fun kids can have when they use their imaginations and play together.
A MEMORABLE NOTE
My heart swells with emotion as I come across a heartfelt message left by Brigitte. Her words take me on a journey back in time, recalling the precious moments we shared as kids. The message expresses how much those memories mean to me and my siblings and how grateful they are to have grown up alongside me. The message is a warm reminder of the deep bond we share and the enduring love and friendship that has stood the test of time. It leaves me feeling deeply touched and overwhelmed with a sense of gratitude and happiness for having such a special person in my life.
