Garamond Monograph

The process for creating this book came in two parts. The first part was the research and writing. I spent about two months researching for writing material as well as looking for images to use within the publication. The full essay was broken down into chapters that discuss a specific topic within the history of the Garamond typeface. The second part was the design of the book. The publication went through a number of layout changes. One of the most notable changes was making the image and color treatment simpler to help add to the readability of the grid. The classic hue of gold was used as a highlight color to reflect the timelessness of the typeface.
