The Language of Nature

The video exercise in this module was truly exciting. As soon as I saw the brief, a million ideas flooded my head. Finally, I settled on my favourite theme — the mysteries of nature.

"I will arise and go now, for always night and day I hear lake water lapping with low sounds by the shore; While I stand on the roadway, or on the pavements grey, I hear it in the deep heart’s core."
— William Butler Yeats

I decided to film my mini-movie at Singapore Botanic Gardens. A lush and peaceful place with birds (and creepy crawlies!), I chose to capture scenic moments that are easily missed. In my video, I came up with captions to describe the various ways in which humans can appreciate nature using our senses.
