Glen Rudis's profile

The Game Title Sequence

The following title sequence was designed for the 1997 David Fincher film "The Game." It features Michael Douglas and Sean Penn playing brothers. Michael Douglas's character is swept up in a real-life game, a present given to him by his brother. Slowly his world unravels, and he becomes unsure of what is part of the game and what is reality.
My initial style frames outline the two possible directions I considered for the final product. One style would have used imagery pulled directly from the film. The second style and the one that was chosen was designed to emulate the work of Saul Bass and his title designs, especially his work with Alfred Hitchcock.
My initial storyboard shows key frames from the final video design.
