This sketchbook is a visual-verbal exploration of how life could transform by disconnecting from the noise. I'm referring to the overbooked daily schedules, social media, emails/texts, and the repercussions of all of it. By disconnecting and reprogramming, we can get back to the experiences which feed our souls, engage in meaningful connections, and breathe. Upon receiving the sketchbook, I immediately took it apart and rebound it with a variety of papers. The opening pages of the book represent one’s daily required activities which range from work to family duties and beyond. It conveys the regularity of daily responsibilities which ultimately compact and become overstimulating. The pages to follow represent life which is disconnected from the aforementioned. Artwork and writing conveyed in the rest of the book reflect meaningful experiences and activities resulting from disconnecting as well as reflections about the topic. I used a variety of media and style to communicate my ideas.
