I am a part of the Visible Foundation team, a Polish NGO dedicated to human rights, women's rights, and reducing discrimination, especially based on gender and country of origin.
In the spring, there were published the results of a survey conducted before the parliamentary elections in Poland in October 2023. According to the survey, 40% of women aged 18-40 did not plan to vote. Inspired to raise civic awareness among women and young people, we launched a voter turnout campaign called "Your Vote is Your Power!" in the Pomerania region.
My role was to research and analise the target group, propose concepts and ways of action, also co-design graphic materials, event production, art directing, photography and promotion. I co-designed UX and UI of the quiz below.
As part of this initiative, we created our own electoral quiz at https://niewidzialnetematy.pl/quiz/. It consists of 20 worldview and general questions, or they can be categorized by specific topics. The website also provides answers to frequently asked questions about elections and referendums, which, according to many organizations (including ours), are considered risky and inappropriate. Over 45 people running on opposition lists in Pomerania completed the quiz. Over 8000 people've used our website to find themseves the best representation in the future parlament.

Since August, we organized 5 political debates in Gdansk. We invited experts from civil society, including various foundations and institutions. We discussed challenging topics with the candidates for the Sejm and Senate from Pomerania, focusing on specific and personal declarations (which we will monitor) rather than general statements.
Topic we've covered:
Migration in Poland, The climate crisis, Education and the mental health of children,
social rights of excluded groups such as seniors, co-dependent individuals and LGBTQ+ community.
We also organized a great voter turnout event at the B90 club: discussions about better, hopeful society and silent disco party.
Voter turnout in the elections was the highest in the history of Poland, reaching 74% nationwide and 82% in our area of operation (Gdańsk).
